Latest grants approved to support Guildford community

After the amazing grants we made last year totalling over £130,000 to 21 charities and organisations, we’ve already started this new year well and at our most recent meeting, we approved the following grants:

  • £10,000 to Activate Learning for a Sensory Outdoor Gym
  • £7,500 to Guildford Shakespeare Company to fund a collaborative play project between school children and residents of a care home inspired by Shakespeare
  • Oakleaf Enterprise was awarded £4,000 to fund a project providing IT skills for people with mental health needs and who are out of employment
  • £8,400 was awarded to the Surrey Care Trust for their Swingbridge Community Boats scheme which enables disadvantaged people to access mentoring, volunteering and training through an established community boat project.

In addition, funds of £2,340 were made available to local project Karate for Mental Health (K4MH).

Check back to find out more in the coming months about the impact these grants have had on people in and around Guildford.
